So, a few months ago I thought I'd create e-mail accounts for the boys so that I could save their names for them for when they're old enough to actually use an account. I wasn't as lucky as I had hoped. I had to use middle initials for Jack and James. Jude got his name without needing his middle though.
I was just reminded that I had done this because an application I was filling out for Jack asked for child's e-mail address (which seemed strange to me...he's too young to have his own e-mail that he uses in my opinion). I was talking to Jason about it and he had the great idea to use the e-mail accounts to write letters to our boys. Anything from short notes to longer letters like the birthday letters Jason writes every year to them. The letters and notes would all be date stamped so when they're older and we hand over the accounts, they'll have e-mails already. I just love this idea! I can't wait to mail pictures of tender moments and those not-so-tender moments, or goofy moments, and notes when I feel inspired to communicate to them in a journal format. They'll always be there, nothing to file or lose in a move or fire. I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier! Smart husband!
That is so incredibly sweet. You are the bestest parents I know.
