A Weekend Trip to Home Sweet Home!

Oh how I yearn for our boys to be growing up in Covington. I loved being a kid in that town...and it would be fun to see my boys enjoy the family and fun I had when I was little. However, we're making the best of our adventurous life as a family.

We went into town for Jacki's (Jason's little sister) wedding shower. It was Luau themed and was decorated to the tee! The funniest thing of the night though...was that Jacki and I were wearing the SAME dress! Hahaha! I was just playing her stunt double incase she needed to be relieved at any moment in the evening! :)

Sunday we spent the day with Grandpa and T.T. Jack and James have a favorite climbing tree at Hideaway. So, T.T. put them in white "wife beater" shirts so they could stay cool and climb away!

In addition to the tree climbing, the boys LOVE LOVE LOVE picking Huckleberries around at Hideaway. They didn't leave much for the birds!

After Jason and I went on a lunch date (alone), we loaded up and went to Memaw's house in Abita. Jack and my dad played a little basket ball at Aunt 90Y's house.

After such a big day, James fell asleep in the van as we were heading home to clean up for dinner at Pizza Man. So, we left him in his seat in the carport...and Jason snoozed right next to James until it was time to go.

I have so many fond memories of going to Pizza Man as a kid. I LOVED standing at the glass to watch the pizza man toss the pizzas and throw cheese in my face! And the juke box ALWAYS plays Puff The Magic Dragon sometime during the dinner. I even went on a few dates with Jason to Pizza Man! Love that place! It's fun to see my boys enjoy it!
